The seventh Southbank Bristol Arts Trail will be a weekend of arts and performance in homes, churches, community centres and public houses around Southville, Bedminster and Ashton.
Venues will be open on 9 and 10 May 2009, between 11 am and 6 pm, welcoming the public to see and enjoy work from artists, makers, performers, musicians, and others in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
This year’s Arts Trail will see about 150 artists showing in over 50 venues around Southville, Bedminster and Ashton in Bristol. We anticipate in excess of 4000 visitors over the weekend. The Arts Trail is always a great event to wander around, so book it into your schedule now!
The theme for the trail this year is centred around letters and letterboxes. There's more information on the Trail theme page about activities related to this.
More details of the artists who have added their details to this website can be seen on the Artists A-Z pages. There is also an A-Z list of venues on the Trail venues 2009 page. This is mostly complete and will be updated with all venues soon.
For a (static) map of the venues in the Trail, please see the Trail Map 2009 page, which also has links to venue pages on this website. For an interactive map, showing the area of the trail, please use the following Google map, centred on Venue 1 (the Southville Centre), which is marked with a pin on the map.
Please also see the Events and activities page for more information on trail related events and things to do over the weekend and the End of Trail party page for more information on the party on the Sunday evening.
Trail brochures, containing a map, artist and venue details will be available from selected venues on the days of the trail. Copies of the poster and brochure are also available on the Downloads (Printable posters, brochures, etc.) page.
The deadline for joining the trail passed on 28 February 2009. You can still become a member of the SBA, but it might not be possible to join in with the trail. Please email communication@sbaweb.co.uk for more information, or see the Member benefits page for more information on becoming a member and why you might like to.
Please email communication@sbaweb.co.uk for any information you may need that is not provided on this website.
