How to add artist details (2011): Creating your details
Once you have all of the requirements detailed in the requirements page, you can log on to the site and add your artist details. If you have problems with these instructions, please get someone to help you.
Once you are logged in to the site (as described on the Logging in page, under the Help menu on the left of the page), you should follow the instructions below.
Warning:
Do not click the "Preview" button once you have added your details, or you may lose what you have added. Use only the "Submit" button (you can go back and edit or delete your entry once you have submitted it, so there is no need to preview it).
Step 1 of 4: Go to the "Artist details" page
Click (once) on the "Create content" menu item on the left of the page.
The menu will expand. Click (once) on the "Artist Details (2011)" menu item that appears.
Step 2 of 4: Add artist details
Add the details required in the appropriate boxes as follows:
Artist’s name, venue and art category
Name: Enter your name, as you wish it to appear in your artist details on the site. This will appear as a title at the top of the page that you create.
Arts Trail Venues (2011): Select the location where you will be showing or performing your art (listed in road name order).
If the location is not available in the list, select "Other" at the bottom of the list. If you do not have a location confirmed yet, select the "Awaiting placement" option at the top of the list.
Art category (2011): Select the type of art in the list that best suits the kind of art you are showing or performance(s) you will give. Select "Performance, Other" or "Other" (at the very bottom of the list) if you don't think that any of these categories suit your art.
Your details and image
Your details: Add into the box details about yourself, your art and/or anything else that you think is relevant to put next to the image of your art (you will upload this next).
Attached Images: Click (once) on this link. A box will drop down.
Browse to your image: Click on the "Browse..." button.
Find your image: Navigate through your computer to find the image you want to upload. Click on the image you want to upload then click the "Open" button.
Image title: Enter a title for the image that you have just selected to upload.
Step 3 of 4: Submit your details (do not Preview)
Warning: again, please do not click the "Preview" button once you have added your details.
Click the "Submit" button (once) ... and wait for a few seconds.
You are done! You should see a page showing your uploaded image and details.
Once you have submitted your artist details, and you can see the page you made, you just need to click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page to edit your details, if needed. Remember: you should always click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page if you make changes. If you don't, your changes will be lost.
Step 4 of 4: Check your details
Your artist details should appear on the list of artists who are taking part in the 2011 Arts Trail. This list can be accessed by clicking on the "Arts Trail 2011" menu on the left of the page, then the "Artists A-Z" sub-menu, or following this link directly to the Artists A-Z page. Please check the page you made to ensure it is correct.
