The Great Public Liability scam

artshow litigation sign.JPG

Art Fairs have always been a serious risk for the participants, and no matter how hard they try to keep the wall prices down, from the public's point of view everything on offer seems terribly expensive, even at the 'affordable' fairs. This is because the overheads are gigantic: hiring the venue, raising and striking the stalls, paying the staff and advertising, no matter what the style of show may be.

Looking to share a studio

Hi everyone

I'm looking for a studio to share with another artist. I've been looking at the In Bristol studios at Barton Hill, it's a great set up and the studios I have looked at are around £150 - £165/month with plenty of room to share making it about £75-£80 each. I work part-time so I would only want to use it Wed pm, Thurs and Fri and sometimes at the weekend.

Please check out their website www.inbristol.org for more details or if you have any suggestions for another studio I would love to hear from you.

My email address is: susysart@blueyonder.co.uk

Thanks

Sue

Contemporary Mosaic Art Now At The Tobacco Factory-- Miranda Knight

Neuronic

I am now showing my stain glass mosaic works at The Tobacco Factory now until 17th May. The art of mosaic can enhance and transform a space. I use stain glass in my mosaics in a wealth of rich, bright and intense colours. I explore contemporary pattern and design alongside design from many centuries and cultures. My exhibition mosaics take inspiration from dreamscapes for Dimension, to creative genius moments in Neuron:ic. Sacred Proportion, looks to divine inspiration in reflecting form and pattern. Read more →
