A selection of my photos are now on display at Retro, 55 North Street, Bedminster from 3rd - 31st Jan 09. These show views from various bits of Bristol from various angles. I just walk about
with a camera on my days off work - these photos represent those journeys around and about the local environment. Go take a look, I hope you enjoy them! More of my images can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/ciderfrenzy/
I will be showing my shoe paintings at Vittles Cafe, Gloucester road Filton until the end of January 2009.
So if you're in the area pop in for a coffee and have a look
Come and visit me (Emily Ketteringham) on the Totterdown Arts Trail (Front Rooms 2008), on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2008! I will be showing examples of my screen prints, collages and cards, including lots of new material.
29th October to 28th November 2008.
This exhbition will explore the diversity of my work, with the intention of creating a solo show that looks like a group show.
Through my art work I investigate, and experiment with, the written form of the English language. I am interested in the way that text can convey meaning, language as memory, the use of language to document and what happens when language becomes redundant.
My experiments and investigations take on many forms including photography, installation and painting.

The new venture now being put in place at the recently decommissioned Post Office in Chessel Street is a sustainability / “green” shop, offering a range of items enabling people to make more sustainable choices for their homes and daily lives. Where possible we will be stocking products from local producers (max 50 mile radius of Bristol). All stock will be carefully researched to offer high quality alternatives.
We have recently aquired use of an empty shop at Broadwalk Shopping centre for art use.
The space will be available for use by SBA members free of charge (all you pay for is any electricity that you use).
Do you have any ideas for how you might like to use it? You could use the space for a day, a week or longer.
Artists using the space will be responsible for their own publicity, installation and invigilation of the space.
I just wanted to invite you all to an exhibition for The Cancer Care Charity Penny Brohn in a marvellous centre in Pill.
Joseph and I will be taking part in this event along side some of the best local talent.
We hope to see you there!
