My work combines the traditional craft of enamelling with fresh, clean, contemporary design to create framed panels and jewellery.
I have taken part in the Southbank Bristol Arts Trail since it's inception and from 2006-2008 helped to co-ordinate the event and manage the artists who exhibited at the Southville Centre, as well as having a large presence of my work at that venue myself. As my creative practice has expanded and demands on my time have greatly increased I have decided to step down in 2009 and only exhibit one or two large pieces at the Tobacco Factory. I am very much looking forward to walking the trail for the first time ever along with all the other visitors. I am excited at this prospect and interested to see all the houses, venues and work.
You can find examples of my panels (priced from £40 - £250 with discounts for multiple purchases) and jewellery (from £15) and order from my website: www.janinepartington.co.uk.
You will be able to find a large selection of my work, priced from £47 - £250 at the Affordable Art Fair at Bristol Temple Meads on 15-17 May 2009. My work will be on the Rostra and Rooksmoor Gallery stand. See www.affordableartfair.co.uk for more details.
I shall also be taking a stand and be present at the Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey, Devon from 5 - 7 June 2009. This is the largest and most prestigious selected contemporary craft fair in the South West and hosts work by over a hundred locally, nationally and internationally renowned makers. There are lots of workshops and it's in a wonderful location. For further information visit www.craftsatboveytracey.co.uk.
