Biographics = personal biographies, painted using symbols, imagery and portraiture. The aim of a biographic painting is similar to that of a portrait. Instead of the sitter(s) being the main focus of the picture, the personal effects and/or
objects representational of that person are depicted in the picture. The sitter may not even be present in person, only those things that represent the people and situations significant to the sitter. The painting will be a pictorial illustration of that person's life to date. Any wishes for the future can of course be included!
