hi, just a short one...
this is stupid really coz it was my fault for not reading the signs properly.
When attending the last steering meeting and artists forum at the tobacco factory i made the decision to park in the aldi car park so as not to clutter up the road ( i know its a bit cheaky coz its a shoppers car park). At this time the car park was virtually empty and i parked at the opposite end to the shop- so as not to inconvenience reall customers.
Despite this i have just recieved a fine for £40 for parking for 2hrs and 40mins. 40 minutes longer than the length of time you are allowed.
So in brief- don't park in the Aldi car park for too long if you're not shopping there, it works out really expensive (i know i'm not the only person that uses the car park in this way so hope that my mistake might save you some money!!)

parking
I did exactly the same thing, and got a bill as well - what a pain! I think there needs to be some sort of local campaign for a portion of the car park to be allocated to the Tobacco Factory in the evening?
Local School Parking
The parents from Ashton Gate approached Aldi and asked if a gate could be put into the car park so that people could park and walk the short distance across to the school, SAFELY away from the busy road and the children. They were unsympathetic to these requests despite the council's interest in putting some money towards it. I think Aldi are just after whatever money they can get. The car situation at the school is, meanwhile, worse than ever.
