Southbank Bristol Arts

hi,
its still really hot here, although it has cooled down loads.
We hired a car for three days. Yesturday we went to pafos and looked at some ruins, lemba to see the sculpture wall which was really cool and aphrodites rock to... mmmm... swim and lay on the beach.

Today we went to some ruins and some amazing beaches. Although lucy wouldn't let me swim at the almost beach in the middle of a game reserve that we found by accident despite the incistance of a local man who couldn't understand why we wouldn't take our clothes off (we had bikinis underneath) and get in the water with him.- probably very sensible of her, i'm not sure that we were actually allowed to be there!!

And on the art front....
Stass who founded the cyprus colege of art gave us a talk about his work last night. We also had a really interesting conversation about the cyprus art scene. Apparently they only like art by other cypriots or people with a cyprus connection.
With my own work i have developed my painting skills (i even painted a foot that looks like a foot) and have been concentrating on the way that people discard their shoes on the beach.

we're are going to the troodos mountains tomorrow and then hopefully i'll fit a full day in the studio in on sunday before getting on a big boat thats gonna take me to egypt on monday. All this sun and sand and sea is wearing me out so i'm taking a holiday from my holiday for three days.
