Alce Harfield
'COLOUR TO LIFT THE SOUL'
Alce Harfield has been a professional artist for 19 years (she owned The Silly Fish Shops in Bristol and Bath in the 1990'S) and still feels its the best job in the world!. Painting in acrylic mainly on chunky canvas her first love is colour. A bit of a butterfly, Alce will flit from cityscapes to florals, seascapes to abstracts but all with a passion for creating something beautiful and pleasing to the eye.
Now based in Somerset, she still has strong links to South Bristol and really enjoys meeting and chatting to her customers, some of whome have been collecting her work since the days of trading outside The Watershed at the end of the 1980's!
Her most recent works feature a unique acrylic paint she imports from Europe, which has light reflective and three dimensional qualities and creates a contempoary and spectacular feel.
She will also be displaying her range of limited edition prints of Bristol and Bath and can now take credit and debit cards, in person or over the phone!
