My work is about exploring how I see and experience the world. I'm interested in capturing a moment that is personal to me - a moment of being. Using direct processes such as drawing and processes that contain an element of chance such as monoprinting, I aim to make visual the connection between the landscape that I exist in, that I walk through and touch and the landscape that I carry inside me - the landscape of memory and imagination. I constantly collect evidence of my interaction with the world - rubbings, objects, sounds, photographs, postcards, film stills, drawings and notes which I then use to inspire and inform my work.
I am currently in the second year of an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking at UWE, Bristol.
