I gained a BA in fine art at Bower Ashton in 1984. I now live in Shropshire but still have friends in Southville and have been lucky enough to be invited to show my paintings at 28 Lime Road for this year's Arts Trail.
I am preoccupied with the exploration of colour and form, the interplay between them and their ability to evoke mood and experience. Landscape and nature inform my work translating into shapes and patterns. My work relies on intuition, borrowing from my subconscious as well as my creative experience.

This year my twin themes are corsets and shoes. I will be showing my most recent prints featuring corsets together with small enamel pictures of shoes . Both subjects are very feminine and sensual and a lot of fun to work with. I hope you will enjoy looking at them as much as I have enjoyed their making.
I am a member of Spike Print Studio and I have had a successful year, with work selected for the Jerwood drawing Prize exhibition.

This year I’ll be showing recent paintings and drawings plus some older prints. The work continues to explore the evocative terrain between representation and abstraction. There’s more about the methods and motivations on the website.
In 2007 I was elected as a member of the Bath Society of Artists. Other successful entries into Open Exhibitions in the last year include The St Ives Society of Artists and The Royal West of England Academy where I was awarded the Best Regional Artist prize.
