Dream Keepers

I studied for my BA (Hons) degree in Natural History Illustration at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design and Sunderland University where I developed an interest in wildlife and portrait painting. Whilst studying in Bournemouth I won the Student Showcase from Artist & Illustrators magazine.

Like many creative people the struggle to make ends meet meant that after graduating I had to swap the canvas for the computer. I have recently returned to my first passion of painting after a number of years working in architectural firms in Bristol.

CONSTIPATED

Acrylic and pastel

Attention very very monstrous!!!!
Don’t watch them if you suffer through the Eustachian tube or galloping sleeps.
Horror ! Terror ! Dread ! like a blue racoon break dancing or cutting the nails of a centipede
You will have the bristle on your shoulder blade, you will count mutant sheep to sleep and you will have nightmares when you are in the toilet against a wicked and rough toilet paper,,,,
You are advised incautious,,,,

Christopher Box

Plummit. 2007

Christopher's sculptures explore transitional states. A selection of works in steel, plaster and resin will be exhibited on the trail.

'My work focuses on the transistional states of thought and place. The physical action in the binding of the steel wire is caught in the plaster skin. Through the making process of the work i am exploring myself. Culminating in sculpture. An investigative insight into transitional states and the self.'

Rose Sanderson

Sucked dry

I completed a BA(hons) degree in Illustration in 2003 and have been doing various creative jobs ever since. I work mainly with acrylics, graphite and mixed media, painting and drawing, and am interested in a wide array of subject matter. This includes sealife, bugs, the human anatomy and strange creatures to name a few. I am inspired by seeing beauty in what others may regard as ugly and hope that I can convey this in what I do.
