Graham Bloy recently launched his own community arts project: 100 Found Objects
The aim is to collect 100 stories from people who have found something that, for whatever reason, has become precious to them. It could be a button found on the street to a photograph or guitar found in a skip. He is interested in exploring the subjectivity of value, memory, attachment, and the stories we all weave in to our own lives.
I knit and crochet unusual things that make me smile like Custard Cream biscuits; tins of beans; mixed breakfasts; pizza; roses; smiley hearts and lots of smiling cacti in pots wearing sombreros playing mariachi guitars.
I love the Southville Arts Trail as I get to see lot of people I know and meet lots of new people as well. For the second year running I'll be in the Beauley Room at the Southville Centre- hope to see you there!
