Janine Partington is a designer-maker creating fresh, clean and contemporary designs in enamel. She makes wall panels, jewellery, sculptures and clocks. The price for wall panels starts at £45, jewellery at £13, sculptures at £45 and clocks at £65. At this year's trail Janine will also be selling off end of line designs from previous years at greatly reduced prices.

My jewellery collection has grown out of my love for colour texture and combining different materials. I enjoy browsing through junk shops and car boot sales looking for little bits of ‘treasure’ such as vintage lace, old buttons and china. The idea of ‘preciousness’ is important to me and I’m especially concerned with taking these little bits of ‘treasure’ and turning them into objects of value and desire. I like the ‘playfulness’ of childhood images and use pictures from old comics, books scraps of fabric and toys to make jewellery using resin, silver, copper and enamels.

Ever since I was young I have had a very visual eye for life. I have always been drawn to colours, textures and interesting subjects such as nature and architecture, which make quite ‘graphical’ images.

After years of experimenting with a wide range of media and techniques I have now found my greatest passions in photography and enamelling.
